Create the event
Pick a reveal time — the morning after works nicely — and Reela gives you a six-letter join code like SUN-SET plus a QR code to share.
Guests join and shoot
Guests scan the QR or type the code — no account needed to join. Each one gets a fixed set of exposures: no retakes, no previews, no peeking at anyone else's shots.
The big reveal
When the countdown hits zero, the shared gallery unlocks for everyone at once. Save your favorites to the camera roll and share them after the reveal.

The optional Photo Scavenger Hunt ships with 15 built-in challenges, each worth 10 to 25 points and marked Easy, Medium or Hard. Guests tag a photo to complete a challenge — think "Group Photo", "Candid Smile" or "Something Sweet" — and every completed shot climbs the live leaderboard.
Challenges span categories like People, Objects, Actions and Emotions, so there's always another shot to chase. When the party's over, you play host and hand out Hunt Awards to your favorite captures.

Questions before the party.
Do my guests need to create an account?
No. Guests join your birthday event by scanning the QR code or typing the six-letter join code — no account needed to join. Only you, the host, set up the event in the app.
When does everyone see the birthday photos?
At the reveal time you choose. Until then the gallery is locked behind a live countdown, and then it opens for everyone at once. If someone can't wait, Rush Reveal ($9.99) lets a guest see the gallery two hours early. Photos stay available for 90 days.
How many photos does each guest get?
It depends on your plan — 5 shots per guest on Free, 10 on Starter and 20 on Social and up. As the host you can add more for everyone with Shot Boost. It's a one-time payment per event, with no subscription.
